Dividing Unit Fractions and Whole Numbers Worksheet – Grade 5
Divide a whole number by a unit fraction and a unit fraction by a whole number. The easy sheet asks how many thirds are in 4 (4 ÷ 1/3 = 12) and what a quarter shared by 2 is (1/4 ÷ 2 = 1/8). The hard sheet hides a number in the equation (? ÷ 1/5 = 15, 12 ÷ ? = 36) and adds short story problems in litres, kilograms and metres, like 3 L of juice poured into 1/4 L cups.
