Terms of Use

Plain-English terms — last updated June 29, 2026.

The short version

  • • Parents create the account and are responsible for what the kid does on it.
  • • Be kind in any feature that touches other players (leaderboard, future chat).
  • • Don't copy our content or try to break the site — we built it for kids, please don't make us play whack-a-mole.
  • • Cotuz is educational, not medical / clinical. Use common sense.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the Cotuz site / game, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Who can use Cotuz

Cotuz is built for kids age 6+, with a parent account in charge. You must be 18 or older to create the parent account. The parent is responsible for the kid's activity on the service.

3. Your account

  • Keep your password private. Tell us right away at support@cotuz.com if you suspect someone else got in.
  • One person per parent account. Schools / tutors please email schools@cotuz.com for bulk licensing.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Try to access another user's account or kid profile.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the site beyond normal play.
  • Upload content (nickname, avatar, feedback) that is hateful, threatening, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate for kids.
  • Use Cotuz for any unlawful purpose.

5. Content + intellectual property

All Cotuz characters, lessons, artwork, sound, code, and curated question banks are © Cotuz. You may use them for personal, non-commercial educational play. Printables may be reproduced for your own family + classroom use.

Anything you send us (feedback, ideas, bug reports) can be used to improve Cotuz without us owing you anything — but we will not identify you publicly without your permission.

6. Payments (when applicable)

The free tier of Cotuz is free. Paid tiers (when offered) will be priced clearly on the pricing page, billed via a reputable payment processor, and refundable per the policy posted at purchase. Cancel anytime from your dashboard.

7. Disclaimer + limitation of liability

Cotuz is an educational game, not a medical, therapeutic, or clinical product. We don't guarantee any specific learning outcome.

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, Cotuz is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes to the service or terms

We're a young product and we will iterate. Material changes to these terms will be emailed to account owners; small wording updates may be made silently with the "Last updated" date bumped.
