Scorpions for Kids: Amazing Facts and Anatomy
Part of: 📘 Learn About Animals for Kids
In this science lesson, kids learn about scorpions and explore important animal facts and anatomy. In this video, I share that scorpions are arachnids and that they are in the same animal group as spiders! I talk about the pincers, tail and stinger. Then I explain how they have an exoskeleton and what that means. I teach about where they are found, what they eat, and even a special glowing ability they have when you shine UV light on them! This lesson is designed for elementary students and is great for classrooms, homeschooling, and independent learning. I hope your student(s) find this video informative and fun! 👉 Support my channel on Patreon and get fun Homeschool Pop rewards like temporary tattoos: https://www.patreon.com/homeschoolpop 00:00 What are scorpions? 1:16 Scorpion anatomy 2:11 What is an exoskeleton? 3:21 How big are scorpions? 4:18 Scorpions glow in UV light? 5:09 Scorpions are carnivores 5:54 Where do scorpions live?
