Tone vs mood
TONE = how the AUTHOR feels about the topic (angry, joyful, sarcastic, formal). MOOD = how the READER feels reading it (cozy, anxious, hopeful). Both come from WORD CHOICE.
Word choice creates TONE (writer's attitude) and MOOD (reader's feeling).
