Sight words are everywhere
Some tiny words appear in almost every book: the, is, and, to, a. You see them all the time — that is why we call them SIGHT WORDS.
Just remember them
Sight words are easier to remember by looking at the whole word than by sounding out each letter. Just snap and say it!
They glue sentences together
Without sight words, sentences would not flow. "The cat is on the rug" needs "the" and "is" and "on" to make sense.
