Not every analogy is equal
You've seen analogies — pair 1 sets a rule, pair 2 follows it. But some analogies are STRONG (the rule fits both pairs exactly) and some are WEAK (the rule sort-of fits, sort-of doesn't).
Tier 8 isn't just about FINDING analogies — it's about JUDGING them. Real life is messy. Two ideas can feel similar but break down under inspection. Strong thinkers know the difference.
- STRONG analogy — the same rule applies cleanly to both pairs.
- WEAK analogy — the rule kind-of fits, but with exceptions.
- FAKE analogy — the rule doesn't apply to the second pair at all.
