Three match, one doesn't

"Odd one out" puzzles show you a group of items. Three (or more) share something — same colour, same shape, same kind. ONE doesn't fit. Your job is to spot the rebel.

This is the same skill as sorting, but in reverse: instead of building groups, you're finding what BREAKS a group. School tests, IQ puzzles, and lots of party games use this.

The trick: find what the matching items have in common FIRST, then check which one is missing that thing.

  • Look at all the items.
  • Find what MOST of them share.
  • The one that doesn't share it is the odd one out.
