Water everywhere
If you look at Earth from space, most of it is BLUE. That is because over half the planet is covered in ocean water. There are 5 big oceans.
The 5 oceans
They are the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic, and Southern oceans. The Pacific is the biggest — it is bigger than ALL the continents put together!
Oceans are salty
Ocean water tastes salty (do not drink it!). Many animals live there: whales, dolphins, fish, sharks, octopuses, and coral.
